Privacy Policy
SandStorm is a free browser game in which you soar a desert hawk through sandstone canyon formations. This policy explains what data blows through when you play.
1. Information We Collect
Like a clean desert wind, we keep data collection minimal. We may receive:
- Routine browser metadata — your IP address, browser name, operating system, and the page that led you here.
- Your personal best distance, stored only in your browser's local storage and never sent to any server.
- Anonymous, aggregated flight statistics that cannot identify any individual hawk pilot.
2. How We Use Information
We use data only to maintain game servers, fix issues, and understand how far players typically glide. No advertising, no data sales, no user profiles.
3. Local Storage
Your best flight is held in local browser storage only. Clear your browser data and it disappears with the sand — we retain no copy.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts load from Google Fonts via a standard HTTP request. No other external services receive your data.
5. Children's Privacy
SandStorm contains no violence, no gambling, and no in-app purchases. The hawk simply lands when it reaches a canyon wall. Suitable for all ages. We do not collect data from children under 13.
6. Data Retention
Server log files, if any, are kept for a limited operational period and then deleted. Locally stored gameplay data is on your device only and subject to your own browser settings.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Because we collect minimal data, fulfilling such requests may have limited scope in practice.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical measures to protect any data we handle. No internet transmission method is fully secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy by revising the date above. Continued play after an update means you accept the revised terms.
